Create, edit, or delete reply templates

Create reply templates to ensure that replies from all your staff consistently use your organization's tone of voice. Once you choose to use a template, you can edit it before you send it. To get to your templates:

  1. Open the Rant & Rave Dashboard.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click Templates in the left pane.

    You'll see a list of existing templates.

Create a reply template

From your list of reply templates:

  1. Click New template.

  2. In the Label field, enter a descriptive name for the template (for example, "Happy customer", "Returns policy details", etc).

    Later when you're using reply templates, these labels will help you recognize which one to select.

  3. In the Subject field, enter the subject line text for your template.

  4. In the Message field, enter the body of the message template. When you're finished, either save the new template or delete it:

  • To confirm the new template, click Tic mark.

  • To remove it, click Delete.

Edit a reply template

  1. Find the template you want to edit.

  2. Click the Edit Edit icon.

  3. Update the template.

    For information on the fields in the template, read the section about creating a template.

  4. When you're finished, either save the new template or delete it:

    • To confirm the new template, click Tic mark.

    • To remove it, click Delete.

Delete a reply template

  1. Find the template you want to delete.

  2. Click Delete.
